Ra’anan Alexandrowicz is a filmmaker and writer. Born in Jerusalem in Israel / Palestine, he now lives with his family in Philadelphia, PA. His slow cooked, award-winning work seeks to make the invisible visible, and challenge political and formal conventions. Over the last two decades Ra’anan’s films premiered at venues such as Sundance, Berlin, and Cannes; have been broadcasted worldwide, and received prestigious awards - among them a Peabody award and a Grand Jury Award at the Sundance Film Festival. His current work explores the role and affect of nonfiction images in the current media environment.
